Kent Hindu Samajam is a non-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to the principles of Hindu Dharma.

Kent Hindu Samajam organize religious and cultural functions, which includes celebration of festivals, lectures, music and dance performances by distinguished visitors and members of the local community on a regular basis to give our children and adults many opportunities to have a glimpse of the Hindu culture.
Hinduism is recognized as the most ancient and one of the major living religious traditions of the world, it allows a great deal of freedom of thought, faith and worship. Hinduism is a way of life and culture in which several religious practices are harmoniously blended and bound by the common bond of ‘Dharma’. The basic principles are based on the ‘eternal laws of nature’ which can be rightly defined as Sanatana (eternal) Dharma (laws of nature).
Kent Hindu Samajam aims to promote inter-racial harmony and to promote consciousness and undivided loyalty to the United Kingdom.
Kent Hindu Samajam - Vision
- To advance the Hindu religious,cultural and social activities in the Kent county of United Kingdom, particularly by the provision of a place of worship for Kerala Hindu Community
- Promote and practice principles of Hindu Dharma through worship, education and teaching.
- Recognize and respect other religions and beliefs in their proper context.
- To advance cultural education and social cohesion among the community members.
- Supporting the community for good causes and set sights on registering as a charity organisation.
- Promote equality of opportunity in all aspects of its activity.
- To be a non profit making voluntary organisation.
This Month’s Kent Hindu Samajam family get together & Sree Ayyappa Pooja celebrations have been scheduled for Saturday, 30th November 2019 from 4:00 P.M. (16:00 Hrs) at The Medway Hindu Mandir, 361 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 5XS.
