Kent Hindu Samajam and Kent Ayyappa Temple is organising this year’s Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam at the Medway Hindu Mandir on; Tuesday, 7th March 2023 from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm.

Ladies / Devotees interested to take part in this auspicious Pongala Mahotsavam may register their names , location and contact telephone number before Friday, 24th February 2023 on the following email: kenthindusamajam@gmail.com

Only women are allowed to participate in the Pongala ritual. Please note a Maximum of 10 devotees can participate in the ritual.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis only.

Event Date: Tuesday, 7th March 2023

Pooja Ceremonies / Pooja Times / Schedule:

7:30 am നട തുറക്കൽ (Temple Opening / Opening of Sanctum, Sanctorum)

8:00 am നിർമാല്യദർശനം (Nirmalya Darsanam)

8:30 am ഗണപതി ഹോമം (Ganapathi Homam)

9:00 am ഉഷ:പൂജ (Usha Pooja)

10:30 am പൊങ്കാല അടുപ്പിലേക്ക് അഗ്നി പകരൽ (Lighting of the Pongala Hearths)

2:00 pm ഉച്ചപൂജ (Ucha Pooja)

2:30 pm പൊങ്കാല നൈവേദ്യം (Sanctification of Pongala)

2:45 pm അന്നദാനം ( Annadhanam)

Only women are allowed to participate in the Pongala ritual.

All the required items for Pongala will be provided by the Kent Ayyappa Temple to each participating Bhagavathy Devotees at the venue.

To cover the expenses for the Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam / Pooja, Kent Hindu Samajam & Kent Ayyappa Temple is requesting a voluntary donation of £25 to £35 per booked slot /space / per person / devotee.

If you are unable to attend the Pongal event for which you have registered, please contact Kent Hindu Samajam by email: kenthindusamajam@gmail.com or Tel: 07838170203 no later than 5 calendar days before the start of the event i.e. Friday, 2nd March 2023. That would help us to allocate your confirmed space to the devotees who are on the Waiting List for the Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam event.

Note: Kent Hindu Samajam & Kent Ayyappa TempleTrust management committee reserves the right to postpone, alter, cancel ormake necessary changes to the event/programmes schedule if a need arises orcircumstances beyond our control. Children’s safety is paramount therefore allParents/ Carers are reminded to be responsible for their children at all timeswhile attending the Kent Hindu Samajam & Kent Ayyappa Templeprogrammes/events. All Kent Hindu Samajam & Kent Ayyappa Temple events willbe filmed and photographed and possible live streamed on KentAyyappa Temple’s Official YouTube Channel and other Social media networks.
