Please register your interest in joining the KAT Medway Dance Class by submitting the form below. (This is a collaboration between Dhakshina UK and Kent Ayyappa Temple to promote the traditional Indian Classical and Bollywood Dance in Medway, Kent, United Kingdom). If you are the age of 18 or under, a legal parent/guardian/carer must fill this form out on your behalf. Children above 4 or 5 years of age and adults whether beginners or experienced in any dance forms are welcome to join the Indian Classical Dance classes.
These classes provide a foundation for excellent performances, as well as allowing our community in Kent to preserve our traditional dance forms.

Dhakshina UK was founded by one of the most talented dance teachers in the UK who is recognized by the name Chitra Lakshmi, in 2008. Chitra Lakshmi is a reputed dancer and a well-known choreographer of Indian dancing. Dhakshina UK runs classes in various Indian dance forms such as Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Semi-classical and Bollywood / cinematic.
Kent Ayyappa Temple, in association with Dhakshina UK, is aiming to promote and celebrate the rich and varied cultural heritage of various Indian dance forms – both traditional and contemporary. We are holding a taster/enrolment session for aspiring dancers (adults, teens and children) at 4:00 PM on Saturday 1st July, 2023. പ്രശസ്ത നർത്തകിയും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന കൊറിയോഗ്രാഫറുമായ ചിത്ര ലക്ഷ്മി, 2008 – ൽ ആരംഭിച്ചതാണ് ‘ദക്ഷിണ യുകെ’ എന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ നൃത്ത പരിശീലന കേന്ദ്രം. ഭരതനാട്യം, മോഹിനിയാട്ടം, സെമി-ക്ലാസിക്കൽ, ബോളിവുഡ് / സിനിമാറ്റിക് എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ ഇന്ത്യൻ നൃത്തരൂപങ്ങളിൽ ദക്ഷിണ യുകെ ക്ലാസുകൾ നടത്തുന്നു.
കെന്റ് അയ്യപ്പ ക്ഷേത്രം, ‘ദക്ഷിണ യുകെ’യുമായി സഹകരിച്ച്, പരമ്പരാഗതവും സമകാലികവുമായ വിവിധ ഇന്ത്യൻ നൃത്തരൂപങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പന്നവും വൈവിധ്യപൂർണ്ണവുമായ സാംസ്കാരിക പൈതൃകത്തെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. 2023 ജൂലൈ 1 ശനിയാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരം 4:00 മണിക്ക് നൃത്തം പഠിക്കാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കായി (മുതിർന്നവർ, കൗമാരക്കാർ, കുട്ടികൾ) ഒരു ടേസ്റ്റർ/എൻറോൾമെന്റ് സെഷൻ ഞങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നു.
