Maha Shivrathri Celebration at Kent Ayyappa Temple 2024

The Kent Ayyappa Temple in the UK will be hosting a Maha Shivrathri celebration, a significant Hindu festival observed globally. This festival involves fasting and reciting hymns dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees believe that fasting and offering prayers during this time can bring them blessings and good fortune.

The celebration will take place on Friday, March 8th, 2024, starting at 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following day, at the Scouts Hall on Castlemaine Avenue, Gillingham, ME7 2QL.

During the event, Priest Abhijith will lead four Kala Poojas. The rituals will be conducted in several sessions, with the first session scheduled from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 8th, 2024, followed by the second session from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The third session will take place from 1:00 AM to 2:30 AM on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, with the final session occurring from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM.

Priest Abhijith will oversee these ceremonies.

Additionally, individuals interested in offering music and dance as Nivedhyam to the Cosmic Dancer Nataraja are encouraged to contact the coordinators or Temple Management Trust.

കെന്റ് അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഈ വര്‍ഷത്തെ മഹാശിവരാത്രി ആചരണം 2024 മാർച്ച് 8-)0 തീയതി വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച്ച വൈകുന്നേരം ആറു മണി മുതല്‍ പിറ്റേ ദിവസം 9-)o തീയതി ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ആറു മണി വരെ ജില്ലിങ്ഹാമിലെ സ്കൗട്ട്സ് കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ (Scout Hall, Castlemaine Avenue, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 2QL) വച്ച് നടത്തുന്നു.

ശിവരാത്രിയിലെ വ്രതം പുലര്‍ച്ചെ ആരംഭിക്കുകയും പകലും രാത്രിയും തുടരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. പഞ്ചാംഗം നിര്‍ദ്ദേശിച്ച പ്രകാരം പാരണ സമയത്ത് മാത്രമേ ഉപവാസം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാവൂ. ശിവരാത്രി ദിനത്തില്‍ രാത്രി മുഴുവന്‍ ഉറങ്ങാതിരുന്നാല്‍ മാത്രമേ വ്രതാനുഷ്ഠാനത്തിന് ഫലമുണ്ടാവുകയുള്ളൂ.

ഒന്നാം കാലപൂജ മാർച്ച് 8-)0 തീയതി വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച്ച വൈകുന്നേരം 7:00 നും 9.00 നുമിടക്ക് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. രണ്ടാം കാലപൂജ രാത്രി 10:00 നും 12.00 നുമിടക്കും മൂന്നാം കാലപൂജ 9-)o തീയതി ശനിയാഴ്ച അതിരാവിലെ 1:00 നും – 2.30 നുമിടക്കും നാലാം കാലപൂജ 3:00 നും 5:00 നുമിടക്കും നടത്തപ്പെടും. കെന്റ് അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മുഖ്യ പൂജാരി ശ്രീ അഭിജിത് പൂജകള്‍ക്ക് കാര്‍മികത്വം വഹിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
