We warmly invite you to join us for the Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam 2026—a truly exceptional festival where women unite to prepare a sacred offering to Goddess Attukalamma, symbolising empowerment, unity, and spirituality.

- 9:00 AM: Ganapathi Homam
(ഗണപതി ഹോമം ) - 9:30 AM: Special Devi Pooja (Sahasranama Archana )
(പ്രത്യേക ദേവി പൂജ – സഹസ്രനാമ അർച്ചന ) - 9:45 AM: Lighting of the Pongala Hearths
(പൊങ്കാല അടുപ്പിലേക്ക് അഗ്നി പകരൽ) - 2:45 PM: Sanctification of Pongala
(പൊങ്കാല നൈവേദ്യം)
What to Expect
- Sacred Ceremonies: Engage in the time-honoured Pongala ritual with deep devotion.

- Blessed Offerings: Enjoy prasadam and a traditional Pongala Sadhya (lunch).
Participation Details
A nominal donation of £51.00 is required, which covers:
- Firewood, bricks, flowers
- A Pongala Kit*
- The Pongala Sadhya

*The Pongala Kit includes Kerala Raw Red Rice (Chamba Pachari) or Raw White Rice, jaggery, grated coconut, ghee, cardamom, cashews, raisins, and banana.
Please Bring:
- A Pongala pot (preferably 2 liters)
- A mixing spoon, a lid, and a vessel for washing rice
- Water and a knife
- (Optional) A separate lamp and Ganapati orukku for the hearth
- Cash for dakshina (optional)
*Detailed instructions regarding the Pongala Kit and preparation will be provided to registered participants.

Limited slots available – registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable if you are unable to attend, and cancellations must be communicated by Friday, 20th February 2026, at 9:00 PM. (no-shows will not be refunded).
