Hindus living in UK, who originate from the state of Kerala, India have joined together under the Kent Ayyappa Temple Trust to administer and manage the upcoming temple.
A non-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to the principles of Hindu Dharma. The mission of Kent Hindu Samajam is to build a traditional Lord Sree Ayyappa Swami Temple.

Kent Ayyappa Temple in association with Dhakshina UK are offering Dance Classes for Kids, Teens and Adults. These classes provide a foundation for excellent performances, as well as allowing our community in Kent to preserve our traditional dance forms. This is a collaboration between Dhakshina UK and Kent Ayyappa Temple to promote the traditional Indian Classical and Bollywood Dance in Medway, Kent, United Kingdom. Aspiring dancers are welcome to a taster / enrolment session for aspiring dancers (adults, teens and children) at 4:00 PM on Saturday 1st July, 2023. Kent Ayyappa Temple is organising this year’s Karkidaka Vavu Bali from 6.30 AM until 10.00 AM on Monday 17 July, 2023, at Medway Hindu Mandir (361 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 5XS). Kent Ayyappa Temple has been conducting Daily Ayyappan Vilakku Pooja during the Mandala season since the year 2020 with the blessings of Lord Ayyappa.
Daily Ayyappan Vilakku is from the First day of Malayalam Month Vrischikam until Makaravilakku (Mid November to mid January) which generally spans for 60 days (the two-month-long Mandala-Makaravilakku season).
This year we are organising the Daily Ayyappan Vilakku Pooja from Thursday, 17th November 2022 to Saturday, 14th January 2023 as part of the Mandala Makaravilakku Chirappu Mahotsavam – 2022.

Kent Ayyappa Temple is organising this year’s Karkidaka Vavu Bali from 7.30 AM until 10.30 AM on Thursday 28 July, 2022, at Medway Hindu Mandir (361 Canterbury Street, Gillingham ME7 5XS). Shree Manikandan Namboothiri will be present to facilitate and guide the Pithru Tharpan rituals on the day. Pre-registration is mandatory and the last for registration is Monday 25 July, 2022. Medway Hindu Mandir & Kent Hindu Samajam are supporting Medway Maritime Hospital Doctors and Nursers, during the Coronavirus Pandemic. From Monday 20th April Medway Maritime Hospital Doctors and Nurses by providing hot meals twice a week during the lock down period. Helplines are for anyone going through tough times where they need help or support or are anxious about the current situation and feeling lonely.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Krishnan Raman Natarajan, one of the senior member of Kent Malayalee Association, The Chairman of Kent Hindu Samajam, and Kent Ayyappa Temple Trust on Tuesday, 28th January 2020. The funeral service and cremation will take place on Monday, 10th February 2020. He had been a leading light and valued member of the local community in Kent and will be missed thoroughly.
